After a grueling two years of work, Baruch the Scribe is happy to announce their debut album, Intentions. The album finds Baruch the Scribe leaving behind their folk roots in favor of a full on experimental rock sound. While they have been performing several of the songs on Intentions for quite some time, listeners will get a completely new experience in hearing these songs recorded and revamped as well as hearing several brand new songs. Intentions is not a set of songs but a collection of musical instruments, voices, and found sounds best listened to as a whole body of work.
Baruch the Scribe invites you to join them along with several of their favorite artists around the area to celebrate the release of their album on March 2nd at Dan’s Silver leaf in Denton, TX. The album will be available for physical purchase on that date. The Lineup is as follows:
Baruch the Scribe
Bosque Brown
Gold Beach
Botany
Stay tuned in the following weeks for the first single from the album, as well as other exciting announcements.

“The heavy use of guitar effects – thanks to the wide array of pedals that guitarist Judson Valdez implements – and the indiscernible vocal melodies between Valdez and keyboardist Kristen Bryant make Baruch The Scribe a band that stands out in DFW. There was an ethereal beauty to their music when the inventive noise of the guitar was blended with the inaudible vocal melodies, which would vanish and reappear more unique than the next.”

“If ever there was a band that exemplified the ambient music of Denton, Baruch the Scribe is it. Concocting spacious, meandering tunes out of guitar, bass, chimes and percussion, to name a few instruments, the band merges simple sounds with rich, textured intent… sounds like: some sinners met up in a neglected cathedral to invent their own steps to recovery.”

“There’s a genuine honesty and realness that happens in music occasionally wrapped in a weight of upright creativity and passion, that lands in your lap on those special occasions. Denton’s Baruch The Scribe might fit the bill for this particular occasion.”
